Provincetown Fishing – October 2011

Well, the 2011 season for the Ginny G is pretty much over. We will be taking the boat out of the water any day now. We had a great time this year fishing with all of our customers and catching a lot of great fish. We caught everything from bluefish to codfish to bass and more. We wish everyone a fantastic Winter and we cannot wait to see you all again next year for the 2012 season.

Great Weather We Are Having!

There were a lot of boats out on the water this weekend and many of them were tuna fishing…This is the time of year to get out on your boat or our boat and catch some big fish! We are going to be on the water for another couple weeks, so if you are looking to grab a few friends and go for a fantastic tuna fishing trip think of the Ginny G and reserve your trip today!

Is it Fall?

It is hard to believe that Fall is here. The past few days have been sunny, hot and humid. Not very Fall like weather at all. It is kind of nice to still be able to enjoy Summer weather in the Fall. We have been out on the Ginny G each day and are enjoying tuna fishing. Now is the season to catch some big tuna. Bluefish are also out and biting. If you want to enjoy some good Fall fishing, give us a call and we would love to take you and some friends out for a Tuna or Bluefish trip. Now is the time to get out on the water while the weather is still nice.

Fall is Almost Here

Although the weather is very fall like, crisp cool temperatures…we do still have 3 more days of Summer! Help us countdown the days till Fall. With Fall just around the corner now is a great time to book your tuna fishing trip aboard the Ginny G. We are accepting reservations for all fishing trip this time of year and the fish are definitely biting. Grab some friends, give us a call and climb aboard for some fantastic tuna fishing!

Fantastic Weather = Fantastic Fishing

With just 12 official days left of Summer we are excited to enjoy some Fall weather when it comes. This Summer has been very enjoyable on the water, lots of fish, lots of great groups climbed aboard the Ginny G and enjoyed some great fishing and we hope everyone comes back next year.

Tropical Storm Irene

Tropical storm Irene has come and gone.  Many areas of Cape Cod are still without power and it is now 2 days later.  We hope that everyone gets power back very soon, as it is not easy living these days without electricity.  Luckily for those who fish, there are some great recipes where you can grill your fish.  No need for electricity for your grill!  Below is a very tasty Codfish recipe we found online, give it a try and let us know what you think!  Happy eating!

Grilled Onion and Butter Codfish

Ingredients:

  • 4 cod fillets, about 6 ounces
  • 1 small onion, chopped finely
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Preparation:

Preheat grill for medium-high heat. In small skillet melt butter. Add onions and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add white wine and let simmer for an additional 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Brush fillets with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place fish on oiled grill rack and cook for 8 minutes. Baste cod with butter sauce and turn. Cook for an additional 6-7 minutes or until fish is opaque. Baste an additional 2-3 times. Remove cod from heat, top with lemon wedges, and serve.

August 2011 Ptown Fishing

Here in Provincetown the weather is bright and sunny!  We are excited to see the sun and the weather so fantastic.  We cannot believe that there are only a couple more weeks in August…this Summer is flying bye.  We had some minor boat repairs to take care of early this week and we are excited to get the Ginny G back in action this week.  If you are staying in Provincetown or nearby this Summer, be sure to book a Cape Cod sport fishing trip aboard the Ginny G.  You can give us a call or you can reserve your trip right online. We hope to fish with you very soon!

Provincetown Tuna Fishing August 16-22

This week we will begin some Tuna fishing charters aboard the Ginny G.  Our first trip is scheduled for August 20th.  We are hoping for fantastic weather and some great fishing that day.  In the meantime we will be fishing just off Provincetown for Bass and Blues.  The weather around the Cape has been a little rainy these past couple days, but we are hoping the rest of the week with bring lots of sun and temperatures in the 70′s.  Even with the rainy weather, Provincetown is still hopping with lots of people walking around town shopping and enjoying great food at the local restaurants.  Don’t let the weather get you down, pack up the family and head on down to Ptown for a stay in town and of course a sport fishing trip aboard the Ginny G.
